Valorant is a first person tactical video game with multiple different game modes including unrated, competitive, swiftplay, escalation, replication, as well as, spike rush, deathmatch, and even custom games! In all game modes besides deathmatch, you are matched with a team with 5 players total. Then you are introduced to character selection where you choose which agent you want to play. Each agent has their own special abilities which is what I want to explain. There are a total of 21 (?) playable agents to choose from. Once all players have selected their agents, they are placed onto one of 9 maps in Valorant against another team of 5, as either attackers or defenders. Players are given between 30-40 seconds to set up on sites and buy abilities at the beginning of each round which lasts around 2 minutes. At around the middle of the game (depending on how many rounds were won/lost), teams swap sides. In unrated matches, the game ends once one team reaches 13 rounds won. As for spike rush and replication, it ends once one team reaches 4 rounds won and 5 round won for swiftplay. In competitive, if both teams reach 12 rounds won, you go into overtime which is essentially you have to win two rounds in a row to win the match, which could go on for a very long time. Fun fact, the longest competitive Valorant match was around 50 rounds long!
